Zymatic chosen to participate in an international wastewater treatment project

Zymatic has been invited to participate in the international project “Green Ultrafiltration Water Cleaning Technologies”. The project will investigate various technologies and combination of technologies for treatment of contaminants of emerging concern (CECs).

The focus of the project is to investigate and propose a series of techniques to identify modular treatment steps for CEC treatment. Through the project, SLU will have access to the Zymatic technology platform. Zymatic will share knowledge on enzymes in general and test immobilized enzymes in flow systems using various existing pilot setups.

“This is an excellent opportunity for Zymatic and the enzyme technology. Zymatic was launched 1.5 months ago and we are happy to participate in the project. Enzyme technology applications are on the rise and we are constantly looking for new partners and collaboration projects. Working close to the industry is agreat forum in which we can share our knowledge of enzyme treatment technology. Here we will use our platform to support the project to combine various technologies for best possible result. This is a win-win situation as we strive to find efficient solutions for point source applications”, says Christian Ryen, COO

The project is led by an international consortium consisting of Uppsala University, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences, CNRS/IRCELYON, Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon University of J.E. Purkyne.
